Just finished drawing the reggae artist Matisyahu, and I'm pretty pleased with the result. (Okay, so he's shaved his beard off and looks completely different now, but I thought it'd be more fun to draw him with beard.)

King Without a Crown is one of the few reggae/rap songs I actually really like.

Done with 5B pencil and white drawing pencil on gray cardboard. I have no idea how long it took. A few hours, probably, but split up over the course of a few weeks.


(Fun fact: When I showed a WIP of this drawing to my brother (the one who introduced me to Matisyahu's music) and asked him if he could recognize who it was, his first guess was "Hipster Jesus.")
